Tahoe Mountain School

Tahoe Mountain School offers professional education for backcountry users including:  avalanche education, backcountry skiing and wilderness medicine.  Our avalanche courses are based on the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) which is the country's foremost authority on avalanche education.  We employ the best in the industry to instruct our classes and courses.  Among our team are American Mountain Guide Association (AMGA) certified ski and mountain guides, local avalanche forecasters and practitioners, and all are certified AIARE Level 1 and Level 2 avalanche instructors.  Tahoe Mountain School spends a significant amount of time on each course in the field, focusing on hands-on learning, coaching, and supervised decision-making.  We provide current, detailed backcountry training to all recreationalists and professionals who play or work in the winter mountain environment.
