Mt. Rose Backcountry-$225

The Mt Rose area offers access to some of the highest trailheads in our region, known for an abundance of powder skiing and spring corn skiing.  This area typically provides a long season with reliable early season snow lasting through the late spring.  Much of this terrain is near and above treeline with some protected terrain for finding powder snow long after a storm.  Mt. Rose (10,776’) along with the many surrounding peaks and Mt. Rose Wilderness are located in the Carson Range of NV and provide excellent views of Lake Tahoe, Martis Valley, and the Carson Valley.  Skiing and riding can be done on many peaks including Tamarack Peak, Mt. Houghton, and Mt. Rose.
